Acai beads are the seeds of an amazing palm tree (Euterpe gleracea) that grows thoughout South America. As well as making lovely beads, the berries are made into a drink which is incredibly nutritious and is also sold in the west as a dietary supplement and marketed as a super food. These acai beads come from the Peruvian Amazon and are available in a wide range of beautiful and complementary colours and sold in units of 20 beads.
