What is Fair Trade?
People often ask: Why fair trade?
When Tumi started in 1978 the word fairtrade was not used in the same way as it is today. But there are organisations in the UK such as Tearcraft and later Tradecrafts and Tumi who developed the concept and tried to show others that you can make viable business in a capitalist society whilst being fair and just with the people who provide you with the income, often the artesans who live in developing countries.

These animals are exclusive to Tumi and come packed in a box with seeds and full instructions. You need to fill the animal with water and soak the seeds for an hour or so, then gently cover the surface of the animal with the moist seeds. Leave the animal for a few days, making sure it is kept topped up with water. Soon you will have your own hairy animal and some home grown cress for your salads! Of course, you can keep re-using your animal over and over again. These make a fun and original present for people of any age. |
