This recording came about from a chance meeting between the Bolivian band Rumillajta and Tumi’s founder Mo Fini on the streets of La Paz, Bolivia, in 1983. It is also the first recording of Tumi Music. The cd features a mixture of songs and instrumental tracks performed using traditional Andean instruments such as the quena, various types of pan pipes/zamponas, charango (a ten stringed instrument believed to have originated after the Spanish conquest of South America), bombo and chajchas.
