These Mexican sombrero hats are made in the state of Guerrero in Mexico and are woven from natural fibres and then sewn together.

The Panama hat got is name during the building of the Panama canal at the beginning of the last century, when hat merchants from Colombia and Ecuador sold their hats to passing trade. The hats are woven from the narrow fibres of the iraca palm and then steamed and moulded to shape.

Tumi Panama hats are hand woven, fair trade and come with a comfort band inside and black or brown band outside. They are stylish, comfortable and versatile and make great presents.

Each hat is individually hand crafted using traditional hat making techniques in Ecuador

The hats are convenient for travel, as they can be folded.

Tumi Panama hats are available in sizes 55 to 62.

Fair trade pan pipes - £2.95

Made from 2 rows of panpipes tied together, these zamponas are easy to play, producing a mellow and often haunting sound. They are traditionally played in festivals in the altiplano of Peru and Bolivia and come in many different sizes.

Maracas - £2.65

Maracas are thought to have originated in Central and South America and are traditionally made out of dried gourds like these ones. They can be filled with anything from small pebbles to grains of rice. They are shaken like a rattle in tropical and jazz music and are normally played as a pair. These are hand made in Ecuador.
